No body of law is more fluid than the law on DWI cases. Sharon Osborn of the The Minnesota Society for Criminal Defense, the premiere DWI defense organization in the state, has assembled an all-star line-up presenting cutting edge issues and information for this year’s continuing legal education seminar on June 21, 2019.

Douglas Hazelton starts us off with the legislative and case law update, followed by Blair Nelson discussing how a DWI can affect your right to carry a concealed weapon. Chuck Ramsay will present new, undisclosed information about Minnesota's breath test device.  Our special guest, Deandra Grant, a nationally recognized speaker, will expose the faulty science behind prosecuting drugged driving.

Free on-site lunch will include 1/2 hour ethics credit by Judge Randall and Minnesota court of appeals staff attorney, Jodie Carlson.

Deandra Grant returns in the afternoon with more on attacking the science, with her presentation on "Winning Blood Test Cases." Jeff Sheridan will discuss a driver's "evolving" right to counsel in a DWI case. Sam McCloud will provide new and creative ways to get your client out of jail soon after arrest. Another special guest, Canadian immigration attorney Reis Pagtakhan, will discuss the latest changes to Canadian immigration issues for people who travel to Canada.. Finally, Dan Koewler, the lead attorney for Olson v. One 1999, will discuss latest forfeiture strategies.

We expect a sold out crowd this year, so don’t wait and register today! Click on this link for registration information.
