State v. J.M.S.

Our client accidentally hit a parked car – and ended up getting charged with a gross misdemeanor DWI, facing a lengthy jail sentence, years of probation, and cancellation of her driver’s license. However, sometimes an accident really is an accident, and the only substances in her blood were prescription drugs, taken in accordance with a prescription. After careful review of notes from our client’s doctor and review of all of the evidence obtained by our firm, the State dismissed the DWI charge and allowed our client to plead to a simple driving without due care violation.
